Zax Packz versus Party Platterz

A Zax Packz is a complete meal for a small group: protein, two large crinkle fries, four slices of Texas toast and four sauces, all at $35.99 for the Fingerz or Boneless Wings version. The tater chip variants swap the fries for chips at $38.99 and $40.99.

A Party Platter is protein only, sized much larger. Forty Chicken Fingerz for $69.99, sixty boneless wings for $62.99, forty traditional wings for $67.99. Sides come separately, which is why the Texas Toast Platter at $15.49 exists as its own line.

The decision comes down to headcount. Below six people, a Zax Packz is a complete order at a lower total. Above twelve, the platters cost far less per head and the toast platter fills the gap. The two Zampler Platters, at $65.99 and $69.99, split the difference by putting Fingerz and wings on the same tray.

Boxed lunches for an office order

Seven boxed lunches run from $8.49 to $10.99, each one an individual portion in its own box. The Fingerz, Nibbler and Boneless Wings boxes are $8.49. The two sandwich boxes are $8.99. The House and Cobb Zalad boxes are $10.49 and $10.99.

Chips, coleslaw and a chocolate chip cookie are paid add ons rather than included, so the base price covers the main item and its sauce. Calorie figures run from 570 on the House Zalad box up to 1650 on the Signature Sandwich box.

The Grilled Chicken Sandwich box at 970 to 1180 calories is the lightest of the non salad options, which matters on a meeting order where nobody wants to be asleep by two.

Zalad platters and the vegetarian gap

Four Zalad platters serve twelve to fourteen. The House Zalad Platter is $72.99, the Cobb is $74.99, the Asian Zensation is $79.99 and the Garden version is $64.99. The first three come with a Texas toast platter and the Asian Zensation ships with a veggie egg roll platter instead.

The Garden Zalad Platter at $64.99 and 3260 calories is the only group format on the menu without chicken in it, which makes it the one item to order when a group has people who do not eat meat. Note that the Cobb builds keep bacon and hard boiled egg even in their garden versions.

Zalad platter pricing varies more between restaurants than anything else in the catering range, in some cases by more than double. Confirm the figure with the restaurant before you plan around it.
